The Moore’s live in Ambon, Indonesia where they serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Indonesia has more languages without any of the Bible than any other country and is a very strategic location. David is serving as the Assistant Regional Team Leader for the province of Maluku and also as the Assistant Coordinator for all the work in Indonesia and travels frequently around Indonesia and to various countries in Asia. Denise is busy with home schooling and taking care of the kids and also does some consulting in the area of Scripture use.

Debbie was the first homegrown missionary sent out by Laurel Community Church in 1984 to work with Entrust4, a multi-mission effort to train disciple-making pastors, lay leaders and women behind the Iron Curtain — through small groups, interactive learning, personal application and ministry practice in their local settings. After the fall of communism in Europe, she moved from Vienna to Romania where she developed an effective ongoing women’s ministry.

She returned home in 2007 to care for her mother and to develop women’s ministry programs here. God raised up a capable Women’s Ministry Team committed to outreach and discipleship of women through the local church. Now Debbie is looking toward doing the Entrust Training in Asia and continuing to strengthen the ministry in Romania through annual relational training and equipping.

Nick is another of our homegrown missionaries. He has taught science classes at the high school level in Oregon and in Colorado.  Nick is also a runner and has participated in various events. Now he has felt God’s call toward ministering through Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) and is working with students at UCCS, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and traveling to Pueblo to work with the CRU Ministry there.  He will also continue to help with and direct the Altitude Project, a Christian distance running camp for college athletes under the banner of Athletes in Action.
