1.) This passage records how Paul and Barnabas handled the reception of and rejection to their preaching the Gospel to people in Pisidian Antioch. Note that they delivered the Gospel to the Jews first (see Romans 1:16-17) and eventually were met with opposition. HOW SHOULD WE RESPOND TO THOSE WHO DO NOT RECEIVE THE GOSPEL MESSAGE TODAY? WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM PAUL & BARNABAS' RESPONSE TO THEM? HOW IS OUR WORK SIMILAR AND DIFFERENT FROM PAUL & BARNABAS' MISSION?
2.) Note the words "as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed" in verse 48. Based on this Scriptural teaching, along with John 6:44 and 65, and Ephesian 2:8-9, WHAT HAS TO BE HAPPENING IN A PERSON'S LIFE IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BELIEVE THE GOSPEL? HOW DOES THIS TRUTH BENEFIT US WHO SHARE THE GOSPEL?
3.) In spite of the city officials throwing out Paul & Barnabas, verse 52 says, "And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit." HOW DO WE MAINTAIN A JOYFUL CHRISTIAN LIFE IN SPITE OF OPPOSITION AND THE SAD REALITY OF SOME REJECTING THE GOOD NEWS? See Galatians 5:16-26.
