The theme for this year’s VBS is “ATHENS, Paul’s Dangerous Journey To Share The Truth” and is FREE for children 3 years old - 6th grade. We are excited for your children to experience this exciting Holy Land Adventure and explore the culture of ancient Athens, where Paul briefly stayed on his second missionary journey. They will learn that God loves them deeply and will walk away with the comfort of knowing that God loves us all, takes care of us, loves us when others don’t, sent his Son, Jesus, and wants us to share his love.
The annual community picnic at Rocky Meyers Park is always a fun time of fellowship, food, and of course, the famous horseshoe tournament where participants vie for the coveted 1st place golden horseshoe or 2nd place silver horseshoe. Bring a dish, salad, or a dessert to share. Bring your own utensils, glasses, and a tablecloth. Also bring folding chairs. Water will be provided
7:00am at Bald Peak State Park. Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection beside a blazing campfire with singing and a message. This will be the 82 nd annual Sunrise Service at the park! The guest speaker is Steve Brodehl, Chaplain at the City of Hillsboro Fire Department.
Discover The Story Behind The Greatest Act Of LOVE
Join us as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus this Easter. Children will walk through the Easter Story from Palm Sunday to the Resurrection at the garden tomb. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we are offered new life. There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.
This event is for children 3 to 6th grade.

Instructor, Kristine Mulkey, is dynamic, motivated, and focused on fun
while helping us get in shape. Exercising to upbeat music you will experience a fun, exciting workout. It doesn’t matter what fitness level you are at, it will work for you.
$5 per session (so we can cover the cost of instructors)
Wear comfortable clothes, tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.
You’re never too old for fellowship!
Young at heart is a monthly bible study for us older couples and singles. Although there isn’t an age requirement, this event is geared towards the older community. If you feel led to attend, no matter your age, we would love to have you!

This year’s speaker is Dr. Tim Robnett of ETeam Global. He is dedicated to training and mobilizing evangelists locally and internationally. We will also be featuring other ministries such as Voice of Christ Media, Medical Teams International, and Firm Foundation in Christ Ministries.
Join us for lunch and fellowship after the service.
Kids, Join Us For Our Christmas Adventure
Children will enjoy: Singing Christmas Carols, a walk through the Christmas Nativity, a birthday party for Jesus, a craft, lunch and Christmas movies.
This will give parents a 4 hour break to do whatever you would like to do without your kids in tow. Christmas shopping, out to lunch, maybe both. Holidays can be stressful, we know that and are excited for the opportunity to help while teaching your children about the birth of Jesus.
You are invited to join us for our Thanksgiving Service and Dessert Potluck on Sunday Nov. 18th at 5:00pm. This special service helps us focus on the many blessings that the Lord has blessed us with this year. Join us for this community event where will we give thanks to the Lord and enjoy fellowship and Dessert with one another.

This is a fun, family friendly event geared toward younger children with carnival type games, take home prizes and goodies!
There is a chili and pie baking contest, which will be served for dinner at 6:30, and a “guess the weight of the pumpkin” contest.

The Laurel area has been home to many of our friends and family, and we are ready to give back! We want to express our love for the community by hosting a “Clean-up” event! Trash and recycled materials often get left or swept onto the road, so we want to make sure Laurel remains nice and clean! Not only that, but the debris is not good for the environment, Join us, as we do our best to help our community and glorify God in the process!

Family night is a monthly event at Laurel Community church. Come join friends and family for dinner, followed by a meeting time for Adults and Children. Everyone is welcome!
