"Go Therefore And Make Disciples Of All The Nations, Baptizing Them In The Name Of The Father And The Son And The Holy Spirit" ~ Matthew 28:19

 Our Missionaries

  • Executive Director/Evangelist/Pastor sent by LCC to ETeamGlobal

For the past 18 years, Chris has been serving God’s Kingdom internationally and in local church leadership by equipping, serving and proclaiming. He has led or served on mission trips and in evangelistic roles in 20 countries across five continents.

After ministering with Eteam Global part time for the past six years, Chris is now full time with them, serving as Executive Director. This past year, ETeam Global trained leaders in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Slovakia, and Spain. He also attended the international evangelistic conference in Amsterdam. In 2024, he plans to travel to Slovakia and Spain to equip local leaders.

  • Debbie was sent out by Laurel Community Church in 1984 to train disciple-making pastors, lay leaders, and women behind the Iron Curtain. After the fall of communism in Europe, she moved from Vienna to Romania where she developed an effective ongoing women’s ministry that is now being carried on by Romanians.

She later returned to the U.S. to help care for her mother. She has remained with Entrust Mission and has been doing virtual training of women who live in various countries. She suffered a stroke two years ago and is recovering from that. She will officially retire from Entrust in February of 2024, but will continue to minister to people.

  • Nick is a member of Cru’s Athletes in Action whose mission is to see Christ-followers in every sport, on every team, and in every nation. He is based in Colorado Springs and works with university athletes to help them develop a personal relationship with Jesus, build them in their faith, and send them out equipped to be life-long ministers of the Gospel.

Last year he traveled with athletes/coaches as a sports chaplain and educator to Kenya, New York City, and Cameroon. He used this as a means of sharing the Gospel. In 2024 he plans to establish a new project (Colorado Endurance) for distance runners.

  • David & Denise Moore are serving as Field Coordinators in Eastern Indonesia with the Wycliffe Bible Translators Global Partnership team. They are helping to provide support and assistance for 10 different translation projects via a remote assignment based out of Hillsboro. David traveled to Indonesia last year and again this year to help local partners, churches, and language communities start and manage Bible translation projects.

God’s Word is powerful! Sadly, millions of people around the world don’t have access to the Bible in a language they understand. Wycliffe is working in partnership with churches around the world to help eliminate Bible poverty.

Laurel Church Is Dedicated To Missions:

Making disciples is the backbone of any church body.  Just before Christ ascended into heaven He commanded us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and to teach them to obey everything He commanded us to do.  A necessary and important part of making disciples is Missions.  Therefore, we at Laurel seek to glorify God through the support and the encouragement of missionaries who preach the gospel in the United States and abroad.

There Are Several Ways To Support Laurel’s Missionaries:

  • Pray for Them

  • Communicate with them by e-mail or letters.

  • Show hospitality to them when they are in our area.

  • Give financially to support them.
